Welcome, Welcome, Welcome!
Hello! Welcome to our tribe. My name is Michelle and I am the coordinator of Bear Valley MOPS. I have three children, ages seven, four and one, and I’m not sure how well I would have survived motherhood without the support of this group. I learned about MOPS when my youngest was four and I was pregnant with baby #2. A friend suggested joining this MOPS group when I shared with her that I was struggling with going from working full-time, to being at home full-time. I didn’t know how to navigate this new life routine and I felt I was failing at every turn. I needed support and encouragement, and place to hear other moms say “me too”. I have found all of this, and more, at MOPS! Friends, can I just tell you that you belong here? MOPS is a place where you will be welcomed as you are. No judgement, no secret handshake - just us being together. We are friends from all over the globe who have been called to raise the world together. Whether you are like I was and are feeling alone in this journey or you have other reasons for seeking us out, I would like to personally welcome you to MOPS.
Our MOPS group provides a community of support and friendship for any mother with a child newborn through Kindergarten. Bear Valley MOPS provides a welcome break for mothers to come and relax, enjoy breakfast, try your hand at a craft, or listen to a knowledgeable speaker about topics that relate to being a mother in today’s world. Our Bear Valley MOPS is a place for women to share their experiences, make friends, find support, laugh together and receive understanding and gentle encouragement.
This year’s theme is: We Are the Starry-Eyed
Starry Eyed is…
Seeing the light in the darkness and choosing to live courageously in both.
It is opening our eyes to wonder and choosing hope over fear.
Starry Eyed is significant acts of kindness that send ripples of light into the world.
It is a choice to live fully and wholly and to breathe our way back to life.
If you feel anxious and don’t know why …
If you are busy and distracted from the things you truly care about …
If you are restless for an unexpected encounter with God …
If you long to feel alive, to regain a sense of wonder, to hope a little freer and to be a powerful force of kindness in the world, then we’d love for you to join us in becoming Starry Eyed.
This year we will run wildly toward wonder, hope and kindness because We Are the Starry Eyed and we choose to see the light.
